First, from the idea of “dubs” — wins. Because when it comes to the planet, no win is too big or too small. Choosing one better product still counts.
Second, from the word “dubo”, meaning container.
How Ecoduba Began
Before Ecoduba was a marketplace, it was a simple idea.
Providing paper-based food containers to local temples — replacing plastic, one container at a time.
Each container felt like a small step. But together, they added up.

Founder’s Story — Shailen Patel
I didn’t set out to build a marketplace.
I just kept noticing how hard it was to make better choices — even when you wanted to.
Eco-friendly products were hard to find, hard to trust, or quietly expensive.
And the businesses trying to do the right thing? They were buried by fees, algorithms, and platforms that didn’t share their values.
Doing better for the planet shouldn’t be complicated — and it shouldn’t be punished.
